About Barra de Navidad

Barra de Navidad is a small charming fischermens village located in the heart of the beautiful region of the "Costalegre". The town is built on a sandbar which separates the great lagoon from the ocean.

Barra offers many restaurants, stores, watersport-activities, 3 international fishing tournaments per year, two golf courses nearby ( Isla de Navidad Golf Course: 27 holes, 5 min. away and the El Tamarindo Golf Course: 18 holes, 20 min. away).

We highly recommend making day trips by boat or car to the exotic and exclusive bays of La Manzanilla, El Tamarindo, Careyes and Chamela.

Barra de Navidad is located on the Pacific Coast 130 Miles south of Puerto Vallarta and 180 Miles southwest of Guadalajara.

The closest airport is the "Manzanillo" International Airport which is only 23 km away.

The average temperature in the winter is 28C (82 F) during the day and a comfortable 18C (64F) during the night.
